The Circle was formed in November 1978 to encourage and improve the making of
home-made wines and beers, and to provide a forum for social discussion.
THE MEETINGS are held on the third Monday of each month (except December),
at the Ware Art Centre, Kibes Lane, Ware, starting at 8pm.

The majority of the meetings are on wine or beer related subjects; however, we also have
meetings of more general interest.

Those new to Winemaking are especially welcome; members of the club will
always be happy to taste their efforts and answer any questions about wine and beer-making.
Each year, the club runs its unique Computerised Wine Drive.
Members compare bottles of home-made wine and the scores are fed in to the computer.
A commercial bottle is also included in the comparison. Remarkably, the commercial
wine has only won once! This has been running for over 25 years, and was featured in Amateur
Winemaker Magazine.
